Lanikai Rules and Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note refunds are not available for short-notice cancellations made by You or Your guests, regardless of the circumstances. Credit for the booking amount will be offered for up to 12 months from the original reservation date. If notice of cancellation is greater than 3 days before arrival date a refund will be given. The booking site costs will be deducted from the refund.

No refunds will be provided outside of the policy due to bad weather prior to, during or after the booked date/s.

SAFETY

THE SAFETY OF ALL FAMILIES AND ESPECIALLY CHILDREN HERE AT LANIKAI CAMPING GROUND IS THE HIGHEST PRIORITY. ANYONE CHOOSING NOT TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES AND POLICIES WILL BE FORCED TO VACATE THE CAMPGROUND IMMEDIATELY WITH NO REFUND.

WATER ACTIVITIES

A lifeguard or other responsible person does not supervise the water facilities (creek or dams) at LANIKAI Camping Ground.  Your participation in any water activity is done at your own risk.

  • Swim in creek at your own risk. Diving or jumping into the water is strictly prohibited. Beware of snakes.
  • No Push Bike Riding after dark. All bikers 16 & under must wear bike helmets.
  • Motor bikes and 4WD can be used for access to the camping grounds only. No vehicles may be driven down walking tracks.
  • 4WD vehicles can be used to access to the Pretty Gully creek Pool along the Pretty Gully Creek Pool track. Prior approval needed from owners. Using your car on this track is done at your own risk, to both car and people being transported.

PET POLICY

Pet owners or responsible persons for the pets are required to clean up after their pets.  All dogs must be current with inoculation shots and leashed at all times. When tied to your camper, dogs must be secured by a strong leash that does not extend off the site in any directions, not tied to a tree. Do not leave dogs unattended at any time.  Dogs must not chase or harass stock or wildlife.  Aggressive or barking dogs will not be tolerated. Dogs are not permitted to go into any buildings or swimming areas. Dogs with a history of aggressive behaviour are not allowed in the campground.  Dogs are not permitted in food preparation/eating areas. Please keep dogs quiet and under control at all times.

PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION POLICY

Lanikai Camping Ground does not allow mini-bikes, motorized scooters, nor allow children to drive any type of motorized vehicles.

QUIET TIME HOURS

10PM – 7AM MONDAY – SUNDAY QUIET TIME IS STRICTLY ENFORCED; VIOLATORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE THE CAMPGROUND WITHOUT A REFUND.

Outside of these hours, it is expected for noise levels to be reasonable to other campers and people on the property.

CAMPFIRES

CAMPFIRES CAN NEVER BE UNATTENDED; Please be vigilant when using open fires.  Be safe, only use rocks or pits provided to contain, have at least 20L water on hand when fire is going, make sure they are fully extinguished before you leave. Abide by fire bans when in place. Open fires are not permitted in any of the buildings or within 20 metres of buildings.

WILDLIFE/FARM ANIMALS

Avoid all contact with wildlife and farm animals, and do not feed/ interact or touch them.

We have many small animals that frequent the camping area and surrounds please be mindful of these animals and do not harm or interact with these animals in any way.

ALCOHOL

Lanikai ALLOWS THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL ON YOUR CAMP SITE ONLY, and never in any buildings, roads, or any common areas of the park.  Driving a motorized vehicle, including car, trucks, and golf carts, while under the influence of alcohol or while consuming alcohol is not allowed at any time within the Lanikai Property.​

POTABLE WATER

Drinking water/ water for consumption is not available at the camping ground. Water is available at specific spots around the camping ground for other needs. Please use it conservatively.​

KITCHEN FACILITIES

Feel free to use the bush, Kitchen. It is to be left in clean condition at all times for all visitors to utilise.  Power points and lights are throughout the kitchen facility and amenities. Please use these as needed.

RUBBISH

Ensure your camp is kept clean and tidy, with all rubbish to be taken with you on departure. We have no weekly bin service to Lanikai.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Entrance onto the campground property constitutes permission for the management of Lanikai Camping Ground to photograph the visitors while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

In conjunction with your use of the Lanikai Camping Ground the undersigned acknowledges that this is an open, outdoor area that provides staffing for administrative and guest services based on occupancy. Lanikai Camping Ground does not provide emergency service personnel.  A well-stocked first aid kit/fire extinguisher is located in the shelter shed for the convenience of campers. An additional fire extinguisher is located at the shower block. In the event of an emergency, you must call 000 and report your call to Lanikai Camping Ground owners.  Emergency numbers are listed on the wall in the shelter shed area.

Bonalbo Multi Purpose Centre ((02) 6665 4100) is located at Hospital Rd Bonalbo – approx. 45 minutes drive from Lanikai (Please be aware there is not always a Dr at this Facility)
